Exhibiting At the Show
Momentum has been building across the boating industry over the past two years. Attendance was up in 2011 at the Progressive Insurance Michigan City In-Water Boat Show and boat sales were up in 2012. According to the National Marine Manufacturers Association, retail sales of boats, accessories, and marine services increased six percent to $32.3 billion between 2011 and 2012. Boating participation in the United States increased 10 percent over the same period and the proportion of adults who went boating last year (34.8 percent) was the largest since 1997. This fall will be a perfect time to sell boats and this year’s show could be the best one in years.
Since the Progressive Insurance Michigan City In-Water Boat Show was first held 34 years ago, it has grown into one of the largest in-water events on the Great Lakes. There are spaces tailored for all needs, including in-water docks for boats, bulk lots on land, and tented accessory booths.
